How To - Bible Buddy Program

Writer: Jennifer WeaverJennifer Weaver

Hi Friends!

These last couple of weeks we have done a Bible Buddy program in our church for our K-5th graders in our ministry. In the Summer time, usually a lot of kiddos take a break from reading because it is time to relax. I wanted to take some time to encourage our children to dig into God’s word.

A NOTE -

I saw that some churches had done a Bible Buddy program and so I did our own version to make it fun for our kiddos. I found Planetkidmin and bought the $5 kit that was a game changer for this program. I totally encourage you to check it out at: https://planetkidmin.com/product/bible-buddy-resource-pack/

I used their program as a resource and got into Canva to make these files. Please, if you use my program or copy off me, please spend the $5 to give to the link above. It is a DEAL!

First in the gallery of images above is the announcement I made in promotion. Secondly I made a certificate for each Bible Buddy to make this event extra special and memorable. I then made verse of the day graphics that I could share on socials that correlated with the verses they would be looking up to read with their Bible Buddy.

Now let’s get to the bags and how I stuffed their bag.

First of all, each child got their Buddy! I got my stuffed animals from Plush in a Rush. They are so soft and cuddly and very reasonable in price. Get my stuffed animals at - https://www.plushinarush.com/products/14-fine-furry-friends

I then made little tags to put on their bags so that we could keep up with all the Info for them to take home. My bags I bought from Amazon at - Moretoes 15pcs Gift Bags with... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CDZYQNQH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Finally, the most important item to me was the Bible Buddy Care Guide. This was all the info and verses for the Bible Buddies that they would be reading to the kiddos. I love the care guide from Planetkidmin was so great and so easy for the youngest readers.

I focused with our kiddos on Psalm 119 and hiding God’s word in our heart and knowing what it says and applying it to our lives. It was a great night!

The whole purpose is to get kiddos to read their Bibles and I’m so grateful that this program has got our kiddos into reading God’s word and growing in knowledge of Him.

Let me know if you have any questions and I would love to help you do your own Bible Buddy program at your church.
