This last month in ministry has been absolutely amazing and tons of work at our church. We several events that were engaging our kid’s ministry into our community, in serving others, and also with learning more about Jesus. Let me break down some of these awesome things we have done and how you can do them too:
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice Night
You would be shocked to see how much pumpkin flavored food and candy you can find at your local grocery store. From cherrios, pop-tarts, and even chocolate morsels. We got the kids together on Wednesday night at Dig In and tried all these in a buffet of pumpkin goodness. The kids loved this theme night!
Fall Fest!
We were able to have our Fall Fest in person since 2019 and it was amazing! We had over 700 people from our community on out campus enjoying the event. So many games, candy, inflatables and even a train! We were able to reach out to our community so well. In an upcoming post, I’m going to lay out how we do our Fall Fest on a budget and how you can make an impact too!
Bikes for Tikes and Thanksgiving Pie Night
The last few weeks of October into November we collected money in jars for a few of our Small Group Leaders and staff to be pied in the face in order to provided bicycles for children in foster care with Voices for Children - CASA organization. This organzation is very dear to my heart and we were able to provide 4 bikes as of now for Christmas through the giving of Thanksgiving Pie Night. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving we all gathered together to eat pies and cookies and celebrate and then four of our leaders, including myself were pied in the face since the kiddos gave so much. In the midst of a crazy fall and the absolute rush of planning and executing everything, we were able to see the hand of the Lord do so much in our kid’s ministry among our children and families. These events were part of the big picture of teaching these kiddos so much about God and what it means to love Him and others.
